LAP Coffee

This place sticks to a very simple concept: cheap coffee with no frills. The only real embellishments come in the form of specialty lattes and so-called “cloud” drinks, which are essentially standard coffees topped with a layer of sweet, marshmallow-like foam. It’s clearly designed to be accessible and a little playful without straying too far from the basics.

The interior follows a similarly stripped-back approach. It’s clean and modern, dominated by bare metal and grey tones with a few deliberate pops of colour to keep it visually interesting. While it’s undeniably stylish, it leans towards feeling a bit cold and impersonal, lacking the warmth or character that might make it memorable.

There are attempts to soften the space, like the inclusion of live plants, but these don’t quite land. Rather than adding life, they look somewhat neglected, which undercuts the otherwise polished aesthetic.

Overall, it’s a functional, design-forward spot that delivers on affordability and simplicity, though it doesn’t offer much in the way of atmosphere or personality.
