A devastatingly popular cafe. Being seated outside next a relatively busy road in windy weather, we were less than impressed. But the reason for the cafe's popularity became immediately clear once the food and drinks arrived. Everything was made to such a meticulously high standard, but not just that, it was surprising. The tastes and textures on offer were a genuinely unique fusion of chinese and european styles. The bread, for example, was a beautifully baked typically european sourdough (lacking a little salt), but flavoured with chive flowers which is a regional specialty of Yunnan. Watching them make coffee is also a sight to behold. They take it dead seriously and have got it down to an exact science. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere to chill for a while, this is not the cafe for you. A victim of its own popularity, it has become purely a showcase for the immense talent of the people working at the cafe.
