This Korean-run, family-owned café overflows with charm from the moment you walk in. There’s a genuine warmth to the place that feels personal rather than curated, the kind of atmosphere that’s hard to manufacture and easy to settle into.

The offering is simple: there’s no formal food menu, just a small selection of items available at the counter. Expect mostly sweet options—pastries, cakes, and tarts—rather than anything substantial. It’s clearly not aiming to be a full dining spot, but what it does offer fits the tone of the café well.

The music might raise an eyebrow at first—think Oasis, Coldplay, with a bit of country thrown in—but somehow it works. What could feel cheesy elsewhere actually complements the cosy, heartwarming vibe here.

Dark wood furniture adds a sense of depth and warmth to the space, while the decoration feels like a patchwork of different styles and influences. On paper it shouldn’t quite come together, but in practice it does, contributing to the café’s slightly eclectic, lived-in feel. Overall, it’s a place with real character—imperfect in a way that makes it all the more inviting.

Workability

4/5

there is a sign saying that laptops are not permitted on weekends and public holidays, so as long as you don't fall within those times it's a truly lovely place to sit for a while and work. The music is at a comfortable volume and is inoffensive enough to not draw attention away from work. Tables are quite small so don't expect to get more than a laptop and a phone side-by-side. There are only 4 tables, 3 of which have bench seating, and then a longer bar table by the window which is thankfully low enough to use normal chairs rather than the high stools that most places have. The seats themselves are plush and comfortable. Wifi is provided for guests and easy to connect to without the need for a password.

Vegan Options

3/5

their vegan coffee is excellent, but if you want anything to eat you're plain out of luck

Gluten Free Options

1/5

not a consideration at all here, though of course you could just have a yoghurt

Coffee Craftsmanship

4/5

even the decaffeinated oat milk version was very well made as well as being well presented. No complaints, on the upper end of wonderful. Didn't even notice separation of the milk from the coffee which is common with dairy free hot drinks in a lot of places.

Health Focus

1/5

this isn't really a consideration here. The closest you'll get to nutritious food is a cold meat croissant. Come to think of it the yoghurt with fresh fruit would take the nutrition crown here, but it really seems more of an afterthought.

Cakes & Pastries

3/5

no plain croissants available at the time, but the pistachio croissant wasn't bad at all. nothing to write home about, but a perfectly respectable pastry.
