B-Part am Gleis Dreieck

B-Part am Gleis Dreieck

There’s a calm, easygoing atmosphere here, helped along by gentle background music that never distracts. That said, the space isn’t particularly well suited acoustically to larger crowds, and noise levels rise quickly once it fills up. The drinks are a strong point. The matcha latte is especially well prepared, available with oat milk and balanced nicely so it isn’t overly bitter, with a subtle sweetness likely coming from the milk itself. The banana bread is more divisive. It’s on the dry side, but still very flavoursome, served in a generous portion and seemingly made with wholemeal flour, which gives it a slightly more substantial feel. From a practical perspective, it works well as a place to sit and get things done. The tables are at a comfortable height for typing and generously sized. There’s enough room for a laptop, phone, drink, and food without feeling cramped, and even a split keyboard setup fits without issue. Seating is simple but functional. There’s a lot of bench seating, which is useful for collaboration and allows for more flexible sitting positions. Cushions help soften the hard wood, though back support is minimal. Seating comes in the form of benches and basic stools rather than chairs, so comfort over longer periods will depend on where you end up. The smaller stools in particular are less suitable for extended sessions. Facilities are a mixed bag. The toilets are visually chaotic, covered in amateur graffiti on nearly every surface, but they are clean and well maintained. The size of the space also means there’s little concern about privacy or disturbing others. Hand washing facilities are simple but do the job. There are plenty of plug sockets available, which is a clear plus for working, though the Wi-Fi is less impressive. It requires a password to access and is noticeably slow, so it may not be reliable for anything beyond light use. Service strikes a pleasant tone, with staff balancing professionalism and a relaxed friendliness. However, attentiveness can be inconsistent, as tables are not always cleared promptly. The menu is fairly basic, centred around sandwiches, a small selection of salads, and a range of pastries including croissants. Overall, it’s a solid option for working or casual visits, with strong drinks and good practical setup, even if a few details fall short of the same standard.
