Café Friedrichs

An airy, bright, gentle cafe just off Mariendorfplatz. From the puffs of pampass grass that greets one on entering to the coarse pine surfaces on the counter and tables, to the little succulents adorning every table -- it feels immediately inviting, calm and precious. The music is perfectly innocuous which explains why the clientele is from every walk of life. This cafe doesn't offend anyone, doesn't have a loud personality, just a gentle smile that says 'come on in.' Food is fresh and offers plenty of options for the health-conscious. There are also pancakes and a few pastries though if you're in the mood for something a bit naughty. There is a kitchen removed from the main seating area so your conversation doesn't have to compete with the smoothie blender, making it a great place to come for work or for a quiet chat with friends. Overall I really can't fault it, an outstanding cafe.
