This is a well-balanced, medium-sized café that manages to feel spacious without losing its sense of intimacy. With around nine small tables indoors and additional seating outside, there’s enough room to move comfortably without the usual squeeze you find in many Berlin spots.
The interior is tastefully done, leaning on wood tones and muted colours to create a calm, homely atmosphere. It’s the kind of space that feels immediately relaxing without trying too hard. That sense of ease carries through to the music, which sits at just the right level—present enough to add ambience, but easy to tune out when you need to focus.
Coffee is a clear highlight. Everything is prepared with care and attention, and it shows in the quality. The menu itself is fairly standard, with the usual range of drinks—nothing particularly experimental, but executed to a high standard. The croissants are exceptional, especially when fresh out of the oven. Light, crisp, and perfectly baked, they easily stand out as one of the stronger pastry offerings around.
The staff are a big part of what makes the place work so well. They’re genuinely warm and attentive without being overbearing. A small but telling detail: noticing a laptop, one of the staff proactively offered the Wi-Fi password, which speaks to a thoughtful, accommodating approach.
From a workability perspective, it performs very well. Tables, even the smaller two-person ones, are generously sized, easily fitting a laptop, phone, drinks, and food with room to spare. Wi-Fi is available and actively offered, which adds to the convenience.
Dietary options are a bit more limited. Oat milk is the only plant-based option for drinks, and vegan baked goods are lacking, though the overnight oats made with soya yoghurt are a solid option. Gluten-free choices weren’t immediately apparent.
Overall, it’s a strong all-rounder: excellent coffee and pastries, a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and a setup that works well for both relaxing and getting things done.
