What a vibe. This place leans fully into a laid-back, bohemian atmosphere, with a mix of jazz and hip-hop setting the tone. The space is cluttered, but in a way that feels intentional and charming rather than chaotic. Furniture is a real mishmash of what looks like charity shop finds, which adds to the personality and gives it that lived-in, slightly scruffy appeal.
That said, the messiness can tip a bit too far at times. On a busy day, tables can sit uncleared with previous customers’ dishes, which suggests they may be under-staffed rather than careless. There’s plenty of space though, with seating spread across downstairs, upstairs, and even a sizeable courtyard, so it’s easy enough to find a spot.
The menu is casual and snack-focused, with things like nachos, bircher muesli, and other lighter options. Chai lattes are all based on the David Rio range, but there’s a surprisingly wide variety to choose from. A nice touch is the complimentary biscotti that comes with your drink.
Coffee is a real strong point here, even the decaf, which isn’t always a given. On the practical side, there are a few quirks. There’s a €10 minimum for card payments, which can be inconvenient if you’re just popping in for a drink. Tables aren’t always the most functional either, with some sitting awkwardly high for both drinking and working on a laptop.
Wi-Fi isn’t openly advertised, so it’s either unavailable or something you’d need to ask about. The toilets are in rough shape visually, with things like a loose door and missing tap handle, but they are at least clean and even have some decorative effort put in.
Overall, it’s a characterful, slightly chaotic spot with great coffee and a strong sense of identity. Not the most polished or practical, but that’s very much part of its charm.
