This café captures the energy of its Kreuzberg surroundings, drawing in a crowd that skews young, alternative, and distinctly Berlin. It’s lively and characterful, though not necessarily in a way that prioritises comfort or calm.

The space is packed with tables, but within a relatively tight footprint, so seating can feel quite compressed. At peak times, especially around lunch, you’ll likely find yourself sitting very close to neighbouring tables. The main room leans loud, both in terms of general buzz and music, which is controlled directly by the front-of-house staff. The volume and vibe can shift noticeably depending on who’s on, while the back room offers a slightly calmer alternative.

The menu reflects a broad, international influence, with dishes ranging from Korean-inspired gochujang creations to spicier South American-style options. It’s an interesting mix that keeps things varied. That said, the coffee can be inconsistent. The decaf Americano, in particular, is a weak point, with a sour edge that doesn’t leave a great impression, though it may not reflect the rest of the coffee offering.

Pastries are average. The croissant has good flavour but lacks freshness, coming across a bit stale. On the “health” front, there’s a reasonable balance. While pastries are still prominent, the main dishes include a mix of salads and more substantial options, giving some flexibility depending on what you’re after.

As a workspace, it’s workable but with clear limitations. There’s a culture of people working here, so you won’t feel out of place staying for a while. However, tables are very small, leaving minimal room beyond a laptop and phone. There are no plug sockets and no Wi-Fi, which already makes it less practical. The biggest constraint is that laptops are only allowed in the back room, which has just a handful of small tables and a few high stools, so space for working is both limited and competitive.

Overall, it’s a vibrant, social café with an interesting food offering, but not the most accommodating when it comes to comfort, quiet, or productivity.
