This café leans into a modern, industrial aesthetic that feels clean and current without tipping into cold or impersonal. The seating area is quite dimly lit, which is adequate for a casual visit but can feel slightly uncomfortable if you’re trying to work for longer stretches.

There’s a good number of smaller two-person bench tables, along with a few bar stools and some outdoor seating, making it a medium-sized space overall. Despite this, it’s clearly very popular and can feel crowded even at quieter times like a Monday afternoon. On the plus side, staff are highly active, with tables being cleared and cleaned frequently, which keeps things feeling well managed. Orders are handled efficiently using a beeper system, so you’re notified when your food or drink is ready.

The food and drink are a strong point. The croissants are excellent, with a light, crisp exterior and a soft, slightly chewy interior, balancing savoury notes with a touch of sweetness. Coffee is equally impressive. Even the decaf stands out as aromatic and genuinely enjoyable, which is not always a given.

There’s a clear health-conscious angle to the menu, with a wide range of options including homemade teas, smoothies, juices, bowls, chia puddings, and wraps. That said, it doesn’t feel restrictive, as there’s also a good selection of cakes and pastries for something more indulgent.

As a place to work, it performs well in some areas. The Wi-Fi is available via the counter and seems reasonably fast, the tables are spacious, and the music stays at a manageable level. However, there are no plug sockets, and the hard wooden seating can become uncomfortable over time, which limits its suitability for longer sessions.

Overall, it’s a busy but well-run café with strong food and drink, a clear identity, and solid practicality, even if comfort and lighting aren’t quite ideal for extended work.

Vegan Options

3/5

although there are several vegan options, only one was clearly marked, the rest are left up to guesswork. There are however the standard 3 choices when it comes to plant milk which is becoming rarer as most places start offering only a single cow's milk alternative. Vegan options on the menu overall are limited
