A cool cafe, both physically and figuratively. The smooth Arabic electronic beats dance around the smooth wooden surfaces and house plants sitting on the walls. Staff are immediately friendly and attentive and there's a good amount of seating so that I feel like I can take my time. Although the chilly interior makes me want to either wear gloves or dash outside into the sunshine, the seating is so comfortable that it tugs me back down to stay for a while. A member of staff eagerly offered me the wifi password on seeing me get out my laptop which is a good sign that customers are well looked after. I'm not the best cook, but I could have prepared a better bowl than what I was given for nearly 15 euros. Though there were lots of fresh ingredients which is usually where corners are cut, the taste was bitter and bland. The beetroot and apple juice was lovely though and served as a necessary accompaniment to raise the main dish a little. The banana cake was not cooked through so there was still a little raw batter in the middle. It's a shame that the food is really not of a high standard, especially given the higher price, but given how well they cater to those with gluten intolerances and other dietary requirements as well as the great atmosphere and furniture, it's definitely one of the better cafes I've been to and would recommend anyone to give it a try if you're in the area.
